The New Boston Recreation Commission is located on the second floor of the Town Hall at 7 Meetinghouse Hill Road. The department was established by vote of the townspeople at the annual Town Meeting on March 4, 1975. The following facilities made available to the Commission are the New Boston Playground, the Daniels Memorial Tennis Court, the Hillsborough County 4-H Youth Center, and specified facilities of the New Boston Central School. The most important issue to the Commission is providing programs to the people of New Boston.

The Piscataquog Land Conservancy speaks and acts on behalf of the Piscataquog River and its watershed. Their mission is to conserve the natural and scenic environment of the Piscataquog River watershed and protect the purity of its waters.
